09/15/18 ~ Sep 22-23, 2018 Fall Equinox

Here's a little study on sunset & twilight as relates to the upcoming fall equinox (Sep 22-23, 2018) ... could it be that "the twinkling of an eye" -IF- referring to sunset (from sun setting to complete darkness) is just a 1/2-hour in duration? Since civil twilight is the closest to actual sunset (darkness) I'm using that instead of astronomical or nautical twilight. The difference between sunset and when civil twilight ends is approximately 25-30 minutes for the dates of Sep 22 (my location) and Sep 23 (Jerusalem), fascinating indeed!

Interestingly, Israel's Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) begins at sunset  on Sunday, September 23, 2018 ... "Sukkot 2018 begins at sunset on Sunday, September 23 and ends at nightfall on Sunday, September 30, 2018." What does it all mean? It means that summer ends between Sep 22 and fall (autumn) begins on Sep 23 {the true Tishri 1, if going by astronomical proof}. Keep looking up, we're still in the zone for an *end of summer* harvest ;o}
