Welcome to The Lamb's Wife blog!

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready." -Rev 19:7 KJV ... "And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." -Rev 21:9 KJV

11/27/15 ~ The WORD made flesh ...

IF the Old Testament (Covenant) &/or New Testament (Covenant) are full of *lies* in your eyes; at best just a series of writings by Hebrews or Jews that have no significance to the church today, consider this ...

1) Jesus only had the Old Testament (Covenant) ... that WAS the soul food He *grew up* on.

2) Jesus, when tempted of the devil, quoted the bible all three times as His sole means of defense, saying:

    Mat 4:4    But he answered and said,
        It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
        but by every word that proceedeth out of
        the mouth of God.

Jesus was quoting partly from, Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

    Mat 4:7    Jesus said unto him,
        It is written again,
        Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Jesus is partially quoting from, Deu 6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

    Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him,
        Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written,
        Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and
        him only shalt thou serve.

Jesus is quoting from here, Deu 6:13 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

When we are under demonic attack, this is how we are to defend ourselves, by quoting God's word. It's Jesus, in writing!

And, did you notice??? "It is written" ... He says it many more times, starting with the beginning of His ministry when He partially quotes regarding His mission/ministry (1st coming) from Isaiah 61:1-2:

    Luk 4:16-21 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been
    brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue
    on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.  And there was
    delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when
    he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
    The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me
    to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the
    brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
    recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
    To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
    And he closed the book, and he gave [it] again to the minister,
    and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue
    were fastened on him.  And he began to say unto them,
    This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Here Jesus is quoting, in part, Isaiah 61:1-2, which says: The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; {"the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn" speaks of His 2nd coming, which is why He stopped short of saying it}

Even while He was hanging, dying, on the cross, with what little breath He had left He warned them saying:

    Mar 15:34  And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying,
    Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted,
    My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

He was telling all that could hear that He was fulfilling prophecy from Psa 22, I post in part:

Psa 22:1-2 [[To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.]] My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. {Read ALL of Psa 22, it's prophecy of Jesus on the cross}

And here is even more of Jesus quoting scriptures, "it is written":

    Mat 11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written,
    Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall
    prepare thy way before thee.
{Speaking of John the baptist}

    Mat 21:13 And said unto them,
    It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer;
    but ye have made it a den of thieves.
{Speaking of the temple}

    Mat 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him:
    but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed!
    it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

    {Speaking of His betrayal by Judas, his friend}

    Mat 26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them,
    All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written,
    I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be
    scattered abroad.
{Speaking of the apostles and disciples
    abandoning Him the night of His arrest}

    Mar 7:6 He answered and said unto them,
    Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written,
    This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Do you believe you honor Him when you say His word is a lie or that any part of His word is a lie? Is He NOT God that He cannot get His word down to you IN TACT over the millennia?

IS God's word full of lies then? Here's what it has to say in its own defense:

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

2Pe 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

If you believe any part of the bible contains errors, or lies, then you believe Jesus is a liar and if that's the case then He is not God nor the Son of God because God cannot lie. The ONLY *word* the ancient Hebrews had was what we today call the Old Testament (Covenant), this is what Jesus came to do, be the word manifest to us in the flesh.

    Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets:
    I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

    Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which
    I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must
    be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in
    the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Jhn 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The OT is alive & well, in Jesus, the word made flesh. If you don't see the perfection and flow between the OT & NT then you are not seeking God with your whole heart. He promised that ...

Deu 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Pro 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

IF the source of your information is anything BUT the bible, you are searching in the wrong place.

    Luk 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you;
    seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

    Jhn 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Now you have no excuse. BUT, you DO have choice ... choose to believe God's word in its entirety, or choose man's word. Your eternity depends on what you choose because NOT to believe God's word is to call Him (Jesus, God's word made flesh) a liar.

Deu 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:  That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

1Ki 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. {Baal, a demonic false god}

Jos 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
