Welcome to The Lamb's Wife blog!

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready." -Rev 19:7 KJV ... "And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." -Rev 21:9 KJV

02/24/16 ~ MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN ...

.:: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN ::.
{Daniel 5:25-31} And this [is] the writing that was written,
MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
This [is] the interpretation of the thing:
MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and [put] a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.  In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
And Darius the Median took the kingdom, [being] about threescore and two years old.

.:: THE BREAKDOWN ::.
Word       Shekels    Gerahs      Dan/Rev
Mene           50           1,000     TIMES (MENE x 2)
Mene           50           1,000        (see above)
Tekel             1                20      TIME
Pharsin        25             500       HALF TIME
__________________________________________
TOTALS   126          2,520       2,520 YEARS

.:: NOTES ::.
A Tekel is a Shekel
A Shekel (Tekel) is 20 Gerahs (ex: 50 Shekels x 20 = 1000 Gerahs)
{I did NOT put the ^ I-s-a-i-a-h 20 scripture link here, must be a God thang!?}
Gerahs is a further breakdown from Shekels (Tekels)
Parsin/Pharsin is also called Upharsin or Peres/Perez (divided)
Final total for Gerahs is 2,520 YEARS {I did NOT put the I-s-a-i-a-h 2 scripture link here, that must be a *GOD thing* because it so works LOL}
Daniel 12:7 & Revelation 12:14 = TIME (TEKEL), TIMES (MENE, MENE), HALF TIME (PHARSIN)

.:: TIME, TIMES, HALF TIME ::.
{time is 360; times is 720 (360x2); half is 180 (1/2 of 360) = 1,260 years}

{Daniel 12:7} And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.

{Revelation 12:14} And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

This timing is also relative (in my honest opinion) to other numbers in the bible, such as:

.:: THREE DAYS AND A HALF ::.
{time is 360; times is 720 = 3 days; half is 180 = 1,260 years}

{Side Note: ADD time + times + a 1/2-time (1260) to three days & a half (1260) = 2,520.}

{Revelation 11:9} And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

{Revelation 11:11} And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

.:: FORTY TWO MONTHS ::.
{42 months x 30 days/month = 1260 years}

{Revelation 11:2} But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty [and] two months.

{Revelation 13:5} And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months.

Are these time spans referring to "the times of the Gentiles"?

{Luke 21:24} And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. -Jesus

This could also relate to "seven times" IF a time equals 360 (years), 360 x 7 = 2520. The initial prophecy that Daniel chapter 4 relates, in regard to king Nebuchadnezzar's dream, refers to seven years for the king in the short term but it could also be a *dual prophecy* in which times means a greater period than one year. So the king was punished for 7 years total but the prophecy (if dual meaning) could represent seven times 360 years (times), which would equal 2,520 years total.

{Daniel 4:16} Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.

{Daniel 4:23} And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and [let] his portion [be] with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;

{Daniel 4:26} And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule.

The scriptures above may be hinting towards a dual prophecy in which Nebu's kingdom suffers a terrible blow, a deadly wound as it were, but his deadly wound is healed at a later time in the future when the kingdoms of iron & brass come into play. This is only guessing of course but it would be interesting to see if Nebu's *BABYLON* kingdom comes back to life in our lifetime.

{Revelation 13:3} And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

{Revelation 13:12} And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Some folks believe the 2,520 years timeline has expired but that we're in the effects of it somehow. For instance, one of the articles below thought the years ended in 1982 but that makes no sense to me. I'd be more apt to believe, if that time has lapsed that it would have done so in 1967 AD as I state below. I believe it's a simple matter of their *math* being wrong, most likely their start year(s), whatever they may be, as most people go by what someone else has already figured out rather than researching things out fully for themselves.

I don't believe that the "times of the Gentiles" is over yet because Gentiles (one such being the kingdom of Jordan) are still controlling the Temple Mount in Jerusalem ... even though Israel controls Jerusalem (for now). I think we're very close to the end of this timeline but have not yet passed it. Although, admittedly, seeing some of the math below could lead one to believe it ended in 1967 AD when Israel regained Jerusalem. A point of interest also, from 1967 AD, when Jerusalem came under Israel's control again after their diaspora of almost 1900 years, it will be one full jubilee period of 50 years to the year 2017 AD, just sayin' ;o}

The key to figuring out this puzzle is to research when Belshazzar was killed by Darius the Mede (Median) who then took his place as king. It's interesting to note that both Daniel 9 & 11 are also prophecies that were given "in the first year" of Darius the Mede, so they may also tie in here ... in the *big picture* (long time-span). One possibility if the following Wiki post is correct and we take the 553 BC date and then subtract 2,520 years ... guess what we come up with? 1967 AD! This is indeed when the Jews took back Jerusalem in the Six-Day War.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darius_the_Mede
"Astyages. Astyages was the last king of the Medes; he was defeated by Cyrus in 550 (or 553), his father was named Cyaxares (not Ahasuerus/Xerxes), and there is no record of him being present at the fall of Babylon. Consequently he gets little attention in modern apologetics, but the 1st century CE Jewish historian Joseph, followed later by the early Christian Church Father Jerome, harmonised Daniel with the historical sources by claiming that Darius the Mede was a son of Astyages.[23][22]"

I would be more apt to think Astyages was Darius since the bible says that Belshazzar was killed the same night as the writing on the wall and that Darius the Mede ruled in his place. That aside, we still have to then account for some time from 1967 onward, possibly up to 2017-2018 AD ... in looking for Jesus' return ... if indeed that is sooner than later as I suspect. The difference could lay in another prophecy from Daniel 12 in which he relates three different numbers: 1260, 1290 and 1335, with the 1335 being an extension of the 1290 by 45 (1290+45=1335). If these represent YEARS instead of days: 1260 + 1335 = 2595 years ... that's 75 years more than 2520 years. Fascinating find: 1335 - 1260 = 75 years difference! Coincidence???

{Daniel 12:7-13} And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.  And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what [shall be] the end of these [things]?  And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and sealed till the time of the end.  Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.  And from the time [that] the daily [sacrifice] shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand two hundred and ninety days.  Blessed [is] he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.  But go thou thy way till the end [be]: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. {My thoughts ~ time {360}, times {360x2=720}, an half {1/2 of 360=180} TOTALS 1260 years}

I have these three numbers traced back to 578 BC because I feel the structure that is on the Temple Mount now IS "the abomination that maketh desolate" as the Jews cannot worship there while that structure is there. From what I've researched, the initial structure was a wooden one and that was erected in 682 AD so if we add 578 BC + 682 AD = 1260 years. Now from 682 AD add another 1290 years and you come to 1972 AD (close enough to 1973 AD, Yom Kippur War). ... OR ... 682 AD add 1335 years and you come to 2017 AD. I get the 578 BC date by *circular reasoning*, fallible as it is, backdating 682 AD minus 1260 years and that is the year I believe Daniel had that vision. All speculation of course, but hey, that's where my math has taken me!

As you can see, there is a difference in years from the 553 BC for the potential first year of Darius the Mede, using the 2,520 years, which bring us to 1967 AD -verses- the 578 BC, which is the year I've come up with that Daniel had the vision of the abomination of desolation (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11; as well as Matthew 24:15, Mark 13:14 and Luke 21:20), and the 2,595 years for that coming up to 2017 AD as I explained above. Yes, I know, I still have work to do to but I think my figures are pretty close to spot on!
